Hopefully you checked the local laws first. I have heard that in some countries there are SWAT teams ready to go to your house once you start torrenting xDDD.

I’ve noticed you posted a link to imgur video. Here I’ve embedded it for you:
Imgur post link (linked by OP): https://imgur.com/a/RUWK3rw
Imgur video link (content same as above): https://imgur.com/mXB2rqp
Imgur direct video link (notice the difference from previous one): https://imgur.com/mXB2rqp.mp4Direct video links are embeddable on Lemmy like images and audio.
You can put it in postURL
or in post body and comments with the format![text](link)
So every time I get the “couldn’t load image, bad state” error, that’s a video? I thought that was an issue in the server side. @zach@bigfoot.ninja

Epic embed fail https://liamthebox.github.io/Torrent-With-A-VPN/
Get you a VPN, seems like the go-tos these days are airvpn and protonvpn. Learn how to forward a port with those services and do so, then go into your qbit preferences and find where to tell it your port number, and bind the client to your VPN. Then you’re good to hit up a torrent site and get to downloading! Remember to seed, that’s how this whole thing works.
Optional: Then go download Jackett, configure it, and start searching all the sites directly from qbit.
Sounds like a lot but the internet contains all answers, it really isn’t that bad.
VPN has its uses but it depends where OP lives. Places like the US? Sure. But most developing nations (mostly, not all) tend to be lax.
Fair enough. I still don’t want that many strangers to have my IP but that may not be important to all.
What someone can do with an IP?. I live somewhere in South Americas and almost every government but Chile don’t do anything because they don’t care or simply can’t do a thing.
At work rn but this should cover it.

assuming OP lives in Germany it might be a good idea to get one for this
