If there was easy access to assisted suicide it could help a bit. There is a whole lot of problems with this topic and working out an acceptably ethic solution is hard. But some people would use it. And I’m very much one such person. Being disabled sucks.

While I agree with the sentiment on cars in the city, I’d say that it is already viable in much smaller cities. I live in a city with 350k inhabitants and I’m doing quite well without a car.

The germans are fucking up everything train related (maybe slightly exaggerated. But only slightly). The whole Brenner project involving this huge tunnel and involving Italy, Austria and Germany. Italy and Austria are nearly finished on their side and Germany hasn’t even started construction yet (at least in the bigger sense of the project).
