29·2 days agoUpdate: IDK wtf happened. I thought I was in the Trump golf course assassination attempt post in this community. I had even read the summary in the post before commenting. Maybe it’s an error with my client, maybe it’s user error. Anyway, I’m sorry for the confusion.

Maybe it’s a spin on beating a dead horse? It sure feels like it could be… I can’t keep track of all the activists, Americans on both sides, as well as aid workers, who have been killed in this senseless conflict. All the while we hear about dipshits calling for the eradication of civilians.

I would avoid any 5€ solution that wasn’t a renowned brand second hand. I understand that you are budget aware, I too have a very close and loving relationship with my money, but I wouldn’t trust some cheap temu part to be plugged in without oversight. That’s a pretty easy way to wake up dead in a pile of smoking ashes.
I’m sorry if I’m coming off as an asshole, I’m really not trying to. If you think I’m being snobby I suggest that you go watch a few big Clive videos on youtube. The chinesium stuff can be really poorly constructed.
How much power does your fan use? Is it an ordinary asynchronous AC motor? Single phase 230V?

4·11 days agoI noticed that I had blown the front left speaker in my first car when bohemian rhapsody was missing vocals. I don’t remember when “a night at the opera” came out, but I’m going to be bold and say the 70s.

When I was a child we didn’t have bike lanes, and biking to school was always an interesting endeavor. Thus I will always take off a bit of speed and give cyclists a good bit of space. But if there’s two or more bikes side by side, then they can take up enough road that you can’t pass them without crossing entirely into the other lane. And then they’re just a big pain as slow moving tractors and other farm equipment, except they’re even more annoying because they could just go single file.
Cyclists going side by side are inconsiderate assholes and this comes from a guy who bikes to work daily.

On a side note, as to the molesting aspect, I can’t see how this is any different than 14yo me having a couple of VHS tapes where the boob-parts were more worn than the rest of the tape. Edit: Oh shit, good thing that I don’t sail the seven seas, and definitely never has. 2 years ago a Danish guy got 30 days probation for doing less than some of my friends did in high school and university.
1·12 days agoI like the fairphone idea, I really do, and I realize that maintaining the fairphone ecosystem is expensive… But! 550€ on sale for a 128GB storage and 6GB RAM phone? GTFO. Update promises are great, but a small company promising 7 years? I hope that the fairphone company survives that long, and even longer, but I wouldn’t be basing my phone purchase on that promise.
For my usage I can get comparable phones for the same cost per day, but with less of an initial investment, and without the risk of time.
Depends on where your sensors are and how much dispersion the dish has. If you are flying a surveillance plane into the “beam” then you can passively spot the ship.
