2·1 year agoI’ve never done P2V Linux, only Windows onto Hyper-V host. It went smoothly.

One thing to take note is that the idea to have many smaller instances so the userbase is broken up and doesnt reside on just one instance. So, it’s relatively cheaper to host and maintain instances.

Active support and security but for Home, Pro, and Pro Education, this does not apply to Enterprise which EOL’s in Oct 2024.
Yep, if move function works than go with that. Otherwise, get the VMs ready on the new cluster, copy over the VHDs, attach and run.
I’ve done both methods multiple times and never had any issues.
They switched to commercial model last year.
