They still explode in some cases. Plenty of clips of li-ion not just catching fire but exploding similar to how a firework might explode.

I did not say they did, but they can explode violently
Shrapnel, no, but Lithium-Ion does explode. Especially on a full charge
It works well…when a parent makes an account for the express purpose of parental controls. The “issue” are the fake accounts (i.e. “finstas”) that the kids make themselves in which they lie about their age.
Also, side note, Googles child accounts work OK, I would not say they’ve got it on lock. Did you know if you get your kids a debit card and they’re under 13 Google will NOT allow them to add it as their own payment method no matter what consent I’m willing to give to them?
Yea, I had to do a parent sanctioned age-lie to Google so now Google thinks my kids are all 13+ just so I could do the extreme thing of teaching them money responsibilities in an age of digital transactions SMDH
Because they won’t need to figure stuff out on their own to the same degree.
Lol they will the second they get hit with that “you need to get parental consent” screen, that’s how it happened to us all.
Thanks a lot for blowing my cover, now everyone knows I’m a vampire!
Like 20 minutes lol
See y’all in ~270 years ig lol
Also, car seats in the 70s:
What are you using your computer for?? Just web browsing or something‽ I just upgraded from an i5-6600k/1060 setup and for like the past year and some change I’ve been hitting 100% CPU usage with just a few programs open, not even gaming lol
And that was with a CPU 3 generations newer lmao
Standard Zen5 isn’t really worth it considering the dropping of Zen4 prices IMO
Unless you’re like me and upgrading from something quite old like an i5-6600k. I switched to a R5 7600 for now that’s at least on the AM5 and was less than 200 so I have a lot of upgrade paths later on when I have more funding (blew my entire budget on a 4080 LOLOL)
Still miles better than the i5/1060 setup I had lmao
don’t tell me what to do!
Its a joke lol, why are you so serious all the time
Sorry, I’ve already posted the new internet rules and they took immediate effect, I’ll have to report this incident to…the council.
Clearly we need an Arch version of rule 34 and rule 35
Rule 34a: If linux software exists, it’s in the AUR. No exceptions.
Rule 35a: If linux software is not in the AUR, it will be made available in the AUR.
I’m not going to pay premium for a device that will break if it get exposed to dust.
From what I understand the Samshit Foldables have achieved a dust resistance rating.
But in general, I think the dust problem is rather overblown. Just exposing it to dust isn’t going to kill it IME, if you were like a construction worker or other industry where you’re dealing with a very dusty environment to begin with then yea. But the average person should be fine with the occasional light dusty environment
Believe me, I’m not rich either lol
I buy phones like millions of others in the US, from the carrier on a EIP
So its more like ~50/month for a regular top tier flagship or an extra 25 (75/month) for a foldy
That’s true, but Google Pixels are also one of the few remaining US brands that allows you to somewhat freely unlock the BL
So custom roms can easily be had, in fact GrapheneOS is one that specifically targets Pixels in general
It’s the 2nd biggest reason I didn’t jump onto the Foldy bandwagon with Samshit (#1 being how damn narrow the cover screen is)
That’s true, but software is software, it can be modified by end users to suit their needs, especially on Pixel foldables which are one of the few remaining US brands that still somewhat freely allow you to unlock the bootloader.
So in that case with an unlockable BL, one could even flash a custom ROM that fixes any issues
But I can’t figure out a reasonable security architecture to use. I thought I had one, but I failed to account for VM jackpotting attacks. And it feels like it takes me a month to do what a competent ops person can do in a day.
You’re overthinking it, just secure things enough that you’re ahead of the script kiddies automated scan tools (which isn’t a lot tbh)
The people with actual real skill don’t care about you, they’d rather go after juicy targets, like companies or politicians or rich people
I called it months ago with the whole Russia fiasco and then reiterated with the whole ad company buy out fiasco. Downvoted both times.
Mozilla is on a path of enshittification and from what I see the “safeguards” that were put in place to prevent enshittification of FF are eroding
