that all depends on your college and how much your IT admins have locked down their connection… Usenet will work on any connection… unless it’s being actively blocked.

you don’t have to decode anything… just throw it in here :
i think there are differences, but i don’t know what… infinity did post their encoding settings int he early releases but then said that they would be the same moving forward and stopped… so i guess it’s just a matter of comparing a rarbg release and an infinity
i go so far the other way with this personally… I actually have a seperate LXC for each docker container and a lot of the time i use docker run instead of docker-compose…
I’ve still not had anyone explain to me why compose is better than a single command line…
It’s a discussion… calm down… It’s also a very valid way to access selfhosted systems.
Fair enough.
Strange, and apologies my suggestion didn’t work for you… I play everything through Kodi and i’ve not had any issues with their releases… I’d be interested to know if you’ve had problems with RARBG-X265 releases?
how many do you want? I only use 1 and have 4 networks with multiple subnet routers in failover in each network.
For those of you missing rarbg, infinity has encoded it and released it on torrentgalaxy.

Whilst it’s not as good a conversion as the one you posted, there’s a violentmonkey script that does a pretty good job too
https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/469093-compact-lemmy-to-old-reddit-re-format-lemmy-v0-18
i want this for my personal instance…
That’s great… thank you… I’ve got it running but it’s not recognising my home instance right now.
Would you mind explaining to me why i would want to do this? It’s a genuine question… i’m still learning Lemmy but do run my own instance just for my account.
I use your script and it’s gotten me going just fine, but i do worry what i’ll do if you stop supporting the script… by that point i’ll hopefully have a lot of history built up and i’d be gutted to lose it at that point.
Usenet can yes… absolutely… but likely only for the text groups… for binary newsgroups you’re going to have to pay and you’ll need to do your research to find one that’s (ideally) not a highwinds backed supplier as they automate DMCA takedowns.
