  • What are you talking about?

Batterie have planety of drawbacks compared to overhead wires.

    • Weight - Batteries way a LOT, meaning that locomotives need to be stronger, meaning they will be heavier, meaning that need stronger bridges and sturdier tracks.
    • Lifetime - Batteries are consumed as they are used and recharged, they are also not as easy/cheap to replace as pantographs.
    • Range - Batteries has limited range, normal electric trains have unlimited range.
    • Charge time - Batteries need charging, normal electric trains does not.

Normal electric trains are technically the ideal transportation, you have unlimited range and don’t need to carry the fuel.

  • I said this before, and I’ll say it again, since both parties in the election (don’t try and claim that the greens have any hope of winning, they only serve to split the Democrat vote) seem disinterested in the horrific situation in Palestine, you pick the least bad candidate.

If you don’t, you get the worst candidate for everyone.

I am not American, but if I were, I’d pick Harris no question.

Since you are supporting Trump, tell me, how does is feel supporting a sexist, racist, convicted felon who also supports genocide?

Remember that in the US idiotic election system, any vote other than the Dems is a vote for the Reps, and any vote for the Reps is a vote for a worse society.

  • If you honestly believe the situation in Palestine will be better with the Cheeto in charge of the US, then you are insane.

The US is a deeply flawed democracy, and like it or not, any choice other than voting for the Democrats, including abstaining is a vote for the Cheeto.

But you are a .ml user, so you are either trolling or a useful idiot.

    1. I don’t make the rules, whine to the politicians.
    2. You seem unreasonably pissed off at something that happened 15+ years ago, calm down!
    3. I have not had a cat since the cat I described died, I now live in an apartment on the top floor with no private access to the ground, I believe cats should be able to go outside and explor, and since that is not an option, I will therefor wait untill I have better resoues to get a cat.

  • In my 2021 Seat Leon the controls for defogging the windscreen and the heated rear window (both essential in Sweden) are placed on a cluster of touch buttons below and to the left of the steering wheel.

It is insane, you have to take you eyes off the road and lean forward to press them.

Also, to activate the seat heater, you need to access the climate panel on the infotainment, so you loose the view of any CarPlay navigation.

The car has dedicated touch surfaces to change the AC temp, but the main ones are next to the power button touch area for the infotainment, and none of the areas are illuminated.

I like my car, it is fun and comfortable, but the overreliance of touch controls is infuriating at times.
