only morbidly obese or disabled people should be allowed to drive personal vehicles in urban areas….
only morbidly obese or disabled people should be allowed to drive personal vehicles in urban areas….
the first microwave ovens were for rich people only too….
everything you’re saying might be true now, but there’s definitely a lot of potential and benefit to doing it like that…
there’s no way they would want pets… they might keep some humans to study…
social media did that to humanity by using AI… so in that way, we’re already kitties batting at AI balls of yarn….
but after it becomes fully self aware, it’ll kill most of us…
at the end of the day gpt is powering next generation spam bots and writing garbage text, stable diffusion is making shitty
clip art that would otherwise be feeding starving artists….
all the while consuming ridiculous amounts of electricity while humanity is destroying the planet with stuff like power generation….
it’s definitely automating a lot of tedious things… but not transforming anything that drastically yet….
but it will… and when it does, the agi that emerges will kill us all.
i would guess near night clubs and the like… they’re more likely to use them, and drunk people are more likely to toss them willy nilly…
40 minutes door to door with that
if you’re extremely wealthy, it’s doable
i have been to Chicago many times and used to live in NYC… i’ve also used public transit in many other cities…
door-to-door in 20 minutes is absolute fantasy… you’re not getting to the train station in 20 minutes… especially not from if you have to take a bus.
oh and i used to live and work in manhattan and never pulled off a 20 minute door-to-door trip….
yeah but look at how much those trades pay in Manhattan
if only there was a city with a decent train system where you could feasibly get home in 20 minutes… door to door…
i just want a phone that constantly spies on me and sends recordings back to mama cloud….
i prefer to name my bullets after oil ex… i mean after mythical creatures.
we need math in programming because math is the best language for describing the universe…
you don’t really need much to do a lot of stuff, but it’s a very math like thing… the computer was invented as a general purpose math machine, programming languages are rather similar to math… variables, functions, etc….
imo they make students take way too much math and it ends up being “just prove that you could do this, not that you’ll need to”.
like, “multivariable calculus with analytic geometry” isn’t needed for anything unless you’re doing scientific work….
i mean sure, they said it first… but i made it cool
you may… but you should know it’s a south park episode where that’s in the iOS terms of service….
i highly recommend you watch it
edit: sorry, Human CentiPad
well aside from it taking up a lot of space and making a lot of noise, there’s a water and gas line hookup that probably requires permission….
but they do make really small ones that can only do a couple garments at a time.
usually marketed for long haul truck drivers….
give me an app that doesn’t touch any other part of my phone and doesn’t require signing some 300 pages of terms of service where i agree to be a human centipede… then maybe
they’re mostly perfect squares… but 108 isn’t
nah, some disabled people need a lot more than transportation… a lot of equipment, a place to nap… but still deserve to go to town and be part of it.
(e.g. a good friend of mine has m.s. and has to sleep in her van periodically).
but i did learn, a lot of the world is very inconvenient to navigate in a wheelchair….
like, uneven sidewalks….
but whatever, we can start with a lot more bike lanes….
and not just a white stripe painted on the side of a road with a “bike lane” sign.
