ACCUMULATED RELEASE SIZE FOR JANUARY 2024
From the 54.960 scene releases, only 9.420 of them had file + size information.
They total to: 16.61 TB (16.619.701 MB) in 115 thousand files (115.373).
No idea about the size of the missing information, so the real value should be much higher.

- Only Scene Release Groups, no p2p or individuals.

Thanks for this!
You’re welcome, I like to share these stats :)
I love STARS for all the german anime for my son ☺️😇 They could just adjust the naming sheme a bit to work better with *arr But that concerns all german releases.
Definitely sucks trying to find good content in other languages. I’m a native english speaker, but live in the EU now and I’d like to watch more content in the local language to help with my learning. It’s just difficult to come by.
The langues create natural barriers on the internet and it creates language specific sites that deal only in one language.
FMHY has quite a few entries in non-english section
Never really thought about it but: What is the deal with porn scene releases these days? Are we at the point where just ripping a vod counts? Or are there still enough DVDs being released to justify a full group?
I think it’s enough to rip VOD’s. But to be honest, it’s been a coupüle of years since i last saw something like a XXX DVD or BD 😅
Thanks for predb.net and the report! Interesting stats.
I’d suggest per category rss feeds. The all-in-one feed has too much to be useful.
You’re welcome :)
I’ve actually build per category feeds last year. The RSS link is also updated per category in the <head>.
https://api.predb.net/feed/section/GAMES/ (GAMES can obviously be replaced by any other category) https://api.predb.net/feed/group/SUXXORS/ (SUXXORS can obviously be replaced by any other group)
https://predb.net/sections/ Here you can find all valid sections. As I’m cleaning up the DB the numbers of each section change overtime.
Thanks, TIL!
This is very cool!
What is Bookware (and why are there often - but not always lowercase i in the all caps)?
Tradition. We just thought it looked rad af in the demo scene and warez scene in the 80s and 90s and its just one of those timeless things that seems to remain cool generations later.
Haha, I thought that might be the case, nice ✨
Bookware seems to be audiobooks, but I’m surprised it’s so low on the list.
Ah, that makes sense, thanks!
