Uff, that’s what I hate about these kind of image hosters. It’s even worse for old tutorials with broken links on forums that didn’t allow file uploads. So many essential niche information I wasn’t able to find due to the screenshots and vital information beeing hosted in external image hosters.
At least for gifs it’s only entertainment that is getting lost. Still kinda sad.

There’s a nice browser run and open source alternative to airdrop called Snapdrop. It uses web rtc to transmit data from device to device directly and can be self-hosted. I use it to transfer data between my Mac and my windows pc as well as my steam deck.
Why would anyone use Netscape if they can still use the much more traditional IBM WebExplorer
