Because racism is learned. It’s the same tired tropes they heard from their parents. Today’s racists are racist against Central American and Caribbean immigrants. Twenty years ago it was the Middle East. In the 1970s it was southeast Asians. Before that were… everybody else. This is America. There’s always some new cultural group to demonize.

Have you read the Tuf stuff? I think that would translate well to a Scavengers Reign-esque animated series. The older I get, the more I realize that animation is the perfect medium for sci-fi adaptation.

If you have cloves in your pantry and a spare teabag, you can make a little spice pouch snus that will numb the area and take a little of the pain away. Ibuprofen only does so much, especially for teeth stuff, and clove can give a little extra relief. Not a doctor, just someone that never had insurance til recently.
It’s worth a little digging.
