Or is there something specific about this instance that’s triggering for you? Perhaps it’s just yet another comment you’re being instructed to leave by your boss or server.

Idk I’m just here for the freak-outs because people’s behaviour when irrational and angry is interesting to me.

Edit: also it’s not an explanation of the situation it’s your hypothesis you’re choosing to project onto this situation. Again who knows why you’re choosing to do that, only you I guess.

  • Unfortunately you’ll have to get used to it and continue challenging them. The polycrisis is only going to get worse and the number of refugees from the impact of climate change and climate change related causes i.e. conflict from collapsing food / water access and / or failed states.

In the next 10 to 20 years life quality will peak and then will start collapsing over the next 50.

When that happens a significant cohort of the population will close ranks and want to “protect” those closest around them, the desire the ultra-rich have for isolation will continue to trickle down into the rich and remnants of the upper middle class as the wealth gap widens. In times of crisis this cohort pushes further and further right.

So keep working against these forces so we can get the rich to pay their fair share to fix these problems but be prepared to take up arms when the house of cards that is the relative stability we have now collapses.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but:

    It’s ok.

You took action to remedy the immediate problem. That’s a huge step.

Now you’re grieving for the current state and how it could have gotten this bad. It’s ok to cry and accept that your past self made mistakes, when you’re able to you should forgive your past self. Take as long as you need to do that.

What comes next is getting to your feet and just fix it up a little. Doesn’t have to be a lot and it won’t all get done overnight. All that’s needed is just 1% everyday. It’s ok to take a break, it’s ok to go slower, but a little progress everyday and you’ll get there.
