Unless she trespassed there’s nothing illegal. I don’t think she shared a specific address. It IS (was?) against the YT TOS but they only care about what makes returns for Google’s shareholders.
Gatekeeping the Fediverse? Cringe
None of the books being banned are pornographic. Don’t fucking lie to advance your cause of genocide
I wish I could say this was me but there’s been a couple of times thst I’ve been knocked on my ass by something, but every test I’ve taken came up negative
How bout your friends or Czech spaces elsewhere on the Fediverse?
Just trying to be helpful and optimistic
Precisely! I try to comment and post partly for the purpose of generating activity
I actively try to post when I see this happen.
What communities are you experiencing this with? Maybe we share some interests.
On isolated, super rural areas where you’re the only person on a dirt road for miles, I think it might be unavoidable during parts of the year or if the road is really intensive to bike (steep, sharp curves for example) BUT that’s where you should be able to drive to your village or town center and pick up the 15-30 minute regional train.
Likewise that would mean the people closer to town who might already be walking to the barber or liquor store would also be able to walk to the station if they needed to go farther.
I believe Kbin already fills that role either as a fork or at least as a similar platform
Wait this is legit?
There is absolutely a segment of Mastodon users who behave like they do, and tbh I think there should always be small instances, but i also think this will be a great improvement.
About a year. I found it after cleaning up an event. Took it home, soaked it for 24 hours, and now it’s covered in stickers.
You seem pretty optimistic about this, but I don’t think the demands will be met until the studios exhaust every trick in their playbook and are forced to negotiate.
Well, yeah. If I wasn’t optimistic I wouldn’t be able to be involved in political discourse. On a long enough scale, the masses win. It’s literally a war of attrition, and if you start it from a position of despair or pessimism you’re setting yourself up for failure. I’m not a WGA or SAG member, but I am I fan, and it’s really heartening to think about how for instance, the YouTube Channel Star Wars Explained has been putting a disclaimer on all their Ahsoka content that it was produced during the strike, which means that many people are having their lives impacted by a strike action for the first time.
Keep supporting the strike though.
Exactly! My hope is that by sharing my viewpoint about what it could mean for us as fans and consumers, I prevent people from losing faith or support in the strike, because I am well aware of how the AMPTP literally had one of its reps’ say they were waiting for the strikers to start losing their homes before they went back to negotiate.
The fact that strikes are even happening at all is heartening. The US labor movement was subservient to electoral interests, hesitant to engage in more confrontational actions for too long and it drained union membership and crippled wages.
What I thought was that Mobile had it’s own built-in adblocking. I specifically remember being able to add the extension in a way I wasn’t able to a few months ago recently.
I hope it’s the 2nd of many more. I believe that this, along with the striking demands of writers and actors being met, would fundamentally shift and alter the economics of production again and lead to better quality shows and movies.
Was wondering why I couldn’t reply to a comment from earlier today when I was sure I hadn’t broken any rule to get banned. Hope it’s back soon, but more importantly that you can stop all the damn CP.
depending on jurisdiction they can’t just arbitrarily raise rates
