i’v been taking part in discussions all day, learning what i need to learn to be able to help, then getting ready to do specifically that.

i’v also been cluing some of the more confused reddit mods in to where this place is and figuring out how not to get shadowbanned in the process - make a reference to motorhead instead of naming lemmy himself. hopefully we’ll get the earthquakes mod here soon

the community over on reddit saw the shape that shit’s gonna turn next month and now we’re all scattering and looking for places to land. this platform is close enough to what we came from that heaps of us are landing here.

this is the busiest instance, by the way. not sure about other people but i’m maintaining an account on this instance separate to my primary account simply because i can access stuff faster from here

the ability to create communities in other instances than the one that our accounts are in. i’d rather use a server in my local region than have to go to the other side of the planet where there’s a populated server

an ability to re-order search results, eg in the communities list page having it so that we can click on a column and have the results sort according to that column, or alphabetically or most recent.

and some way of filtering the results would be good as well

this is going to be happening a lot with the way that reddit is going right now. lots of community names are being squatted by trolls for no reason than to piss other poeple off.

what you can do tho is ask the administrators of the instance, in this case Ruud

make some bullshit point that ignores the actual ideals behind the protest ignore any and all answers, just yelling that same bullshit point over and over again, keep on yelling to attempt to derail conversation get banned send modmail get muted
