Several Alabama politicians say they are concerned about children’s safety at Huntsville’s Space Camp after a parent complained about the presence of a transgender employee.

U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville and Reps. Dale Strong and Robert Aderholt posted statements on X, formerly known as Twitter, after a parent posted on Facebook complaining about the gender identity of one of the U.S. Space and Rocket Center employees. The topic was also picked up by the Libs of TikTok account.

I have been searching high and low for any conservative who is a good “person”, but I cannot find even one. Not one. I think it’s possible that every conservative alive today is pure evil.

I have a friend who is a generallty normal, kind person who voted for trump. He’s not evil or rich, he’s just a bit dumb and he has a brother who’s convinced him to vote R. Again, he’s not a bad guy, just stupid.

Such stupid people are gradually turned evil as they eat more and more of Trump’s shit without gagging.

That’s the thing. You may start out not evil, but once you start going down the Fox News --> News Max --> OAN --> Frogs are turning gay pipeline, you become a person who sure seems to have some fucking evil thoughts and beliefs.

There was that one republican senator that recently made a speech calling out how he was forbidden from helping to pass the border security act because its an election year and would make Biden look good, I have some respect for him.

Yes, occasionally we may find a kernel of sweet corn lodged in the surface of a complete piece of shit. Occasionally.

Respect for someone driving the country in a horrible direction, and using their vote to continue allowing Texas let asylum-seeking children drown in a river lined with razor wire because they “weren’t allowed” to vote differently, and they are consciously aware of their cowardice and dereliction of duty?

That’s not someone I would respect.

Madame President, I’m going to vote “yes” to be able to move on to this bill. So we need a change in law. I understand we have differences, but we’ve got to sit down together, figure out how we’re going to solve problems, because the American people sent us here to do that.

This is the pen that I was handed at that desk when I was sworn in to the United States Senate. And I signed a book that was at that desk with this pen because I was becoming a United States Senator. Because the people at home sent me here to get stuff done and to solve problems. There’s no reason for me to have this pen if we’re just going to do press conferences. I can do press conferences from anywhere. But we can only make law from this room. And to do that, you need one of these pens. And there’s 100 of them in this room, and 60 of us have to agree to solve a problem.

And I’m determined to sit down with anyone who wants to solve the problem, regardless of what side of the aisle that they’re on to figure out how we solve these things. Because Americans are ticked off that this is not resolved, and they expect us to get things done. So why don’t we do that?

When shitty people do good things we should still respect that good thing, it doesnt mean you have to respect everything they do or have done and to do otherwise would be doing almost the exact same thing the republicans are doing, blindly shutting down anything “the other side” does just because they are the “enemy”.

I agree about respecting and even calling attention to good work.

I’m saying that people who torpedo a bipartisan, popular solution (or at least a meaningful step towards it) who then say “I know voting against it was wrong, but what was I supposed to do, vote for it, even though I know that was the right thing to do”, aren’t good people.

I’m not shutting down people for being the “otherside” or the “enemy”. I’m shutting people down for disingenuous and cowardly ass kissing of a spray tan orange Hitler wannabe. Those aren’t qualities that we want in politics, those aren’t qualities we need in America, and those aren’t qualities anyone in the world should respect.
