    The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is cracking down on so-called paycheck advance programs, which have grown popular with workers in recent years.

    This is the right road to go down for the CFPB, but my god, they’re popular with workers because workers are so desperate for money to survive on a day-to-day basis that they are taking voluntary pay cuts just so they can buy groceries for the week because they have too many immediate expenses to wait for the next paycheck since the previous one went to bills.

    And the Federal minimum wage is still so far below the poverty level that you might as well be dead a lot of the time because you’re going to either starve or be eating out of dumpsters.
